Mahon Profile – Facades and False Ceilings with Style and Precision
The Mahón profile is part of the range of architectural profiles designed and manufactured by TAS. This profile stands out for its symmetrical geometry, bringing linearity and elegance to facades or false ceilings.
Description of the Mahon Façade Profile
The Mahón façade profile is a ribbed panel made of single sheet metal, used as an exterior cladding for ventilated facades. It is manufactured with a lacquered finish in a wide variety of metals such as steel, aluminum, or zinc. The Mahón profile is an evolution of the Menorca profile, featuring modified rib angles and a greater effective width.
It can be installed either vertically or horizontally using an exposed fastening system on a steel substructure.
The Mahón profile can also be used as a false ceiling cladding.
Manufacturing of the Mahon Façade Profile
The Mahón profile is produced using state-of-the-art automated folding machines, ensuring high precision in angles and folds. This guarantees that all profiles used on the same façade are identical and fit together perfectly.
Additionally, it is possible to manufacture all necessary flashing and trim elements from the same coil used for the profile. This avoids color differences on the façade and ensures that all components required for installation arrive at the same time.
Advantages of the Mahon Façade Profile
- Durability: steel, aluminum, and zinc are highly resistant and durable materials, capable of withstanding the most demanding weather conditions.
- Attractive design: elegant and distinctive appearance. The Mahón profile stands out with its simple yet refined look, adding character to any façade.
- Lightweight: despite their strength, metals like steel, aluminum, and zinc are lighter than many other cladding materials, making installation easier and reducing the structural load on the building.
- Low maintenance: metal cladding requires minimal upkeep, reducing the need for frequent repairs or repainting.
